Aya Shalkar

Aya Shalkar is a 26-year-old artist and graphic designer with over 700,000 followers on Instagram which became her platform for art and self-expression. Currently based in Los Angeles, raised in Europe and born in Kazakhstan, Aya speaks 4 languages fluently and draws creative inspiration from the many cultures and countries she has experienced throughout her life. With a style of storytelling that is often metaphorical and multi-layered, she is able to brilliantly express and translate complex sociological issues in a way that is palatable to a Gen Z audience and one that has earned her an impressive following both on and offline.

Most recently, Aya has covered Elle Kazakhstan and exhibited her first show at Art Basel Miami 2023.
